5th Annual Scientific Conference & Provider Exhibition

After 4 successful editions BeAPP's annual conference & exhibition is recognized by Pharma at large as a valuable contributor to the scientific development of the Belgian pharmaceutical community as well as a successful networking platform for its key stakeholders. The fifth edition of this unique event strives to continue the contribution to the executive education of its members and the pharmaceutical medicine community at large. In close collaboration with pharma.be, BeAPP offers high-level content and interesting networking possibilities.

Building on this year’s success, this conference will cover the impact of Internet and other new (e-) media on traditional life science processes and relationships. This year we have expanded the exhibition size to ensure we provide exhibition opportunities to Belgium’s largest life science event.

Main Theme
E-HEALTHCARE: FUTURE & PRESENT

The internet is changing the way the pharmaceutical industry communicates with its regulators, doctors and importantly its patients. We are moving to a shared space, an increasingly transparent dialogue between all stakeholders. What will these changes mean for the pharmaceutical industry?

The move to E-Healthcare raises questions on: levels of transparency, compliance, e-marketing, risk management, information tailored to the lay public, online data registries (EudraCT), relationship management with key stakeholders, and much more.

What will the impact be on Medical Affairs? What are the pros and cons? What is the best way forward in this new e-context? What are the opportunities and pitfalls?

The future is here and now – are you prepared for it?

Not only will the e-impact on drug development processes be explored. BeAPP aims to expand the scope to the broader pharmaceutical setting in collaboration with Pharma.be. With the help of other associations such as Pharma.be, ACRP, VAPI-UPIP, BRAS, Aresa all these questions and many more will be dealt with. The e-healthcare age is already upon us and must be incorporated in the life science industry swiftly.

On these questions and many more BeAPP will try to find an answer and/or provide an overview.

Programme

The conference offers a large choice in afternoon break-out sessions in addition to the keynote presentations. The programme is packed with information relevant to the challenges confronting today's pharmaceutical profession.

The scientific event comprises of:

  • Keynote Presentations: Main theme presented from different perspectives: Academic, Industry, Regulatory, Other Stakeholders
  • Break-out sessions
  • Poster session: During lunch break with a special award at the end of the day to reward the best scientific poster(s).
